C4D Product Prototypes
The final C4D workshop of the year, another shame as I've been learning alot from them and have been really enjoying them.
We started this workshop by creating a bottle, we took a 2d profile of the bottle
and extruded it around a center point.
Creating the cap was interesting, we had to create multiple shapes and connect them, a large exterior flower and then circles getting smaller and smaller in. Then by adjusting the circles z co-ordinate we could pull the shape of the cap out, with some fine tuning the cap ended up looking very realistic.
We then added textures, working with reflectance and opacity we created the green glass for the bottle and then used matt textures for the labels and cap. Ontop of the matt textures we then added png labels
Here is the final output.
Next up was a can, the process was much the same, we took a 2d profile of the can and extruded it around a centre point. We added reflective textures and a label and then we used an array to duplicate the can so you could see all angles in the final render.
With both the beer bottle and the can I used glow lighting and shadows to create realistic and smooth shadows to add a little more to the render.
The final piece was a box, which required a lot less work, using a simple cube and adjusting it's width and height we created the base form, then we just had to apply textures to all the sides in the form of PNGs. This was made easier by using the face selection tool and creating texture tags so we could apply a texture to just a single face of the object.
Again I added glow lighting and shadow effects and finished off the render.
