In this project we had to use the adobe capture app on our phones to create a vector image and colour palette to use in creating a piece of art. I enjoyed this and found the app to be very advanced and useful. I took an image of a poster I have on my wall in my bedroom and then used the colour palette of browns, greens blues and greys to colour the image, and then added some text for flavour.

We had a visit from Johnny Ford, Creative Director of Finger Industries. This company is known for their brilliant characters and animations. They have done a number of adverts for Lloyds Bank and other big customers. They focus heavily on their ability to uniquely portray characterisation and colours in their work, here is their more recent show reel.

This weeks guest lecture was two guys from a Leeds company Brass ALT. They do a number of different work but their main job is to create advertising for social media. They work for clients such as Haribo, Lucozade, Maoam and Ribena.  This is one of my favourite pieces by them, which they did for Haribo.

Physical Studio Week 4

Image
Over 3 weeks we have been working on developing an alphabet of new type, the first week we worked on the letters AEGNS, and then further previewed those types to work on full alphabets, and in the final week we focused on finishing one final alphabet (Found below) I have had alot of focus on Typography through my first and third studio projects so these three workshops have been really critical in helping me appreciate styles, inspiration and how to really develop my typography.

After Effects Week 4

The fourth video made in Process and Production After Effects workshops. Working with the multi views and camera tool to create living 3d type. This workshop came in very handy for creating one of my Visualisation of Sound Animations found below. Being able to make good use of the camera has allowed me to bring the video to life, make it alot more interesting and make the concept come alive.
